PROJECT PROFILE

Duquesne University

Duquesne University consulted with The Art Supply Co. to procure artwork that would enhance and activate a newly renovated building. Housing Student Services and the Admissions Office, the addition of art creates a welcoming and distinctive gateway to the university community.

With a priority placed on including artists connected to the university, we leveraged our extensive artist network and organized an open call specifically for artists affiliated with Duquesne. Through this process, we identified and procured artwork from five artists with ties to the university, including three alumni and two current faculty members. In addition, we procured work from five other living artists local to Pittsburgh to expand the range of artistic styles and perspectives represented throughout the space.

All artwork is accompanied by industry-standard labels that identify the artist, title, and medium, along with a brief description of the project and the artist’s relationship to the institution.

The result is a vibrant environment that reflects both the spirit of the university and the strength of Pittsburgh’s artistic community.

TASC worked directly with Duquesne University’s internal team for the art consulting process.
